Mental Health and Wellbeing at Headlands

At Headlands, we know the teaching and supporting our children's mental health and emotional wellbeing is vital if our children are to feel good, function well, flourish and thrive.

As part of our PSHE curriculum, we follow Jigsaw, which offers a progressive programme and delivers all the statutory elements of  RSHE. Within the Jigsaw programme, there is a strong emphasis on emotional literacy, building resilience and nurturing mental and physical health. Within each session, there is a focus on mindfulness, allowing our children to become emotionally aware as well as improving their concentration and focus.

Resources to help you support your child's mental health and wellbeing at home can be accessed by using the various sub-pages to the left. If you are struggling with supporting your child's wellbeing, or have any concerns, please see your child's class teacher, who can help you access some further help in school using our ELSA service.
